New additions blend seamlessly into the original 1930s house.
Obana Residence
The original 1930s Mark Potter-designed house in Manoa Valley, Oahu, was renovated and expanded for a young family. The new construction was carefully integrated into the house to respect its original design.
- A new family room, master bedroom suite, kitchen, bathrooms, and lanai add twenty percent more floor area to the house.
- The new design retains the 1960s living room added by architects Johnson and Perkins.
- State-of-the-art appliances and a new lighting system combine with period-style cabinetry in the enlarged kitchen/family room.
