Marianne Cooper, AIA, specializes in custom residential design, though she has recently been working on plans for a retail complex on Kauai. In the last few years she has designed an ocean-front home on Kawela Bay, Oahu, a 6500-square-foot residence in Lanikai, Oahu; an 8000-square-foot home in Kihei, Maui; a 9000-square-foot home on the Olowalu Peninsula, Maui;and a renovated 1920s beach house in Hanalei, Kauai. Marianne received a B. Arch. from the University of Hawaii in 1988 and worked with the Hemmeter Design Group, Projects International, DMJM, and Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, where she designed various resort, commercial, and marina projects around the Pacific Rim. She joined Mason Architects in 1998 and became a partner in the firm in 2004. She received LEED accreditation in 2006.
