Currently she is working on the 1910 Kauai County Building in Lihue, and St Augustine's Church in Waikiki. In the last few years she has completed the restoration of Kaumakapili Church; designed the adaptive reuse of the Doris Duke Estate, Shangri-La; planned the renovation of several historic residences; and written the design gude-lines for Punahou School and the Koke'e Camp Lots on Kauai. She prepared a Hiistoric Structures Report for the 1915 Maui Jinsha Shrine in Wailuku, Maui; and prepared a preservation plan for historic bridges on the Hana Highway, among other projects. Barbara received a B.Arch. in 1988 and a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation in 1993 from the University of Hawaii.
