Barbara Sannino Shideler, AIA, began work with Glenn Mason in 1989 and in 2009 became a partner in the firm. She has been project architect or principal author/ researcher on a variety of projects, most recently plans for the restoration of Our Lady of Peace Cathedral; the repair and restoration of the 1903 College Hill residence at UH; preparation of a Master Plan for and renovation of St. Augustine's by the Sea Church, including the design for a new St. Damien Museum; restoration of the 1910 Kauai County Building and Annex; repair and restoration of the 1920s AAUW Residence; and the ongoing restoration of Shangri-La, the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art. Barbara received a B. Arch. in 1988 and a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation in 1993 from the University of Hawaii.
