Angela Thompson, AIA, works on a diverse set of projects. Currently she is the historical architect on the Navy Family Housing Public Private Venture and on the restoration and adaptive reuse of Honolua Store on Maui. Recently she prepared a historical survey and master and maintenance plans for St. Andrew's Cathedral and is now monitoring its repair. She was the project manager on later phases of the 'Iolani Palace restoration and on the Ke Ali'i Kai subdivision on Maui. She was principal researcher for the historic building survey on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, KaneŽohe Bay, where she has overseen various other renovation projects in the past. Angela also designed the new compound to house Rusti and Violet, the orangutans at the Honolulu Zoo. Angela received an M.Arch. and a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, in 1996. She joined Mason Architects in 1999.
