Historic Hawaii Foundation Honors One Book and Four Projects

 
 

At its 2011 awards ceremony in the Queen’s Conference Center on April 19, the Historic Hawai‘i Foundation presented a Preservation Media Award to:

  • Hart Wood: Architectural Regionalism in Hawaii, written by Don Hibbard, Glenn Mason, and Karen Weitze and published by UH Press in 2010.

    HHF also gave awards to four historic preservation projects that were designed by Mason Architects:

  • Rehabilitation of Community Center, Hickam Air Force Base
  • Restoration of Selected Historic Homes at Hickam Air Force Base
  • Rehabilitation of the Eisenhower House at the Heleloa Historic Hilltop Neighborhood
  • Rehabilitation of Facility 30, an Historic Nob Hill Home on Ford Island.
